A bright morning begins for Clara Morgane, who has just arrived in Licques for her third performance at the cabaret. “I love this region; it is incredible. I am even lucky enough to have a room with a sea view,” she confides with a smile. Originally from Marseille, Clara travels the roads of France with her own show, Le Cabaret de Clara Morgane<\/i><\/a>, and occasionally performs as a special guest, as she is here at the Cabaret de Licques. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

“It is demanding, but I am fortunate to do what I love,” she tells us with her infectious energy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Behind this frantic pace of life lie the secrets of a carefully cultivated balance. “I have a lot of energy because I am careful about how I organize myself. I divide my year in two: six months for creativity, where I write and compose, and the other six months, I am on tour. That is how I stay inspired.” <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Backstage: an intimate moment before the magic<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the hushed atmosphere of the dressing rooms, before taking the plunge onto the stage, Clara grants us a few privileged moments. Here, the atmosphere is calmer, almost solemn. Away from the hustle and bustle, she shares with us the particular sisterhood that characterizes the backstage of the Cabaret de Licques. “The mutual support between the girls, the love that spreads here, it is precious,” she confides. In this often competitive world, the cabaret becomes a space for support and sharing, where each artist uplifts the other. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\r\nClara does not hide the emotion that this warm environment provides her. She adds: “I have performed in quite a few cabarets now; for several years, I have rarely seen such harmony, so much sisterhood backstage. There is a lot of love, and the party is not just on stage; it is also behind it, and that really warms the heart. I think being artists today is our best way of engaging in politics and bringing smiles, because we only live for that; it is all we know how to do.” \r\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With touching humility, Clara also mentions the slight adrenaline rush that precedes every performance. “There is always that thrill before going on stage, especially when I am presenting new pieces.” And despite her years of experience, this thrill has never left her, proof of the undiminished passion that drives her at every performance. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
